In later years, while working in the music & film industry (and on staff at ABC-TV), Allison learned still more skills from master communicators such as Bobby McFerrin, Bill Graham, Francis Ford Coppola, and Robin Williams. Through the broadcast media, Allison also developed connections with politicians, business and community leaders which she taps as resources for her clients today.
Allison began managing businesses at the age of 14. Since then, she has been wholly responsible for bottom-line growth for a dozen successful companies – overseeing hiring, firing, marketing, finance, operations – the whole enchilada. That’s why Allison Bliss Consulting has a different approach: planning marketing & communications as an integral part of the bottom line, not just superficial hype. Allison originally founded her agency in San Francisco, and has since relocated to Alameda, California. Formerly Co-Chair of Corporate Outreach for the San Francisco & Oakland Chamber’s Women in Business, she is now a contributing editor to the Oakland Business Review and Alameda Business newspapers. In addition, Allison has been a guest lecturer for the International Association of Business Communicators, the Career Action Center, San Francisco State University, and Golden Gate University.
