i am a newbie in Search Engine Optimization but i think that the submission of articles in article directories is one of the best ways to gain backlinks. -

Thanks Kayla. Appreciate your contribution to this post. Another great way to get backlinks is through social media that links back to your site, as well as directories. It does the most good, though, if you get high page ranked websites to link back to you (those with a pagerank of 5 or higher). To look up pagerank go to http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php. Google changes page ranking occassionally, so I just noticed my own site just fell from a page rank of 4 to a 2- yikes. Ah well, it happens.
